January 2021 – Parish News

The latest parish newsletter is now available to view or download on the House of Prayer website.

However, given the lockdown announcement made by the Government earlier this week, and the increasing rate of coronavirus infections in the Brampton and Longtown areas, we have decided to suspend Sunday Services for the period of the lockdown.

This means there will be no service at Kirklinton on Sunday 10th January, or at Bewcastle on Sunday 24th January as advertised in the parish notices.

We will review the situation as it progresses and in consultation with the Diocese.

As previously, our churches will remain open for private prayer (except for Hethersgill). If you do make use of your local church in this way, please ensure you sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the building, maintain safe distancing from anyone you encounter, and touch as little as possible. If someone else is present in the building at the same time, please ensure you wear a face mask.

Please be assured that, although public worship may not be taking place, private prayer remains a daily activity in which everyone is invited to participate.
